Spring is in the air, and soccer is around the corner! In this month’s Headways newsletter, we go into detail about our service plans for summer soccer games in Seattle. Kitsap Transit will operate extra late-night ferry and bus service during summer soccer games

Kitsap Transit will operate late-night bus and ferry service on six days in June and July to support fans attending FIFA World Cup 2026 soccer matches in Seattle! This includes late-night fast ferry service on our Bremerton-Seattle route, buses running until midnight or later in certain parts of the county, and new digital signage at transit centers.


Summer ferry schedules begin May 2

Kitsap Transit will start operating summer schedules on all ferry routes beginning Saturday, May 2! 

Summer sailing schedules include all-day Saturday service from Bremerton, Kingston and Southworth to Seattle (plus connecting bus service) and late-night local ferry service between Bremerton and Port Orchard.


Regional bus-driver training facility wins $15 million federal grant

Kitsap Transit will receive a $15 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration to build a regional bus-driver training facility that will enhance public safety and support transit agencies in Kitsap and neighboring counties.

The new facility will include a driving course, classrooms, locker rooms, office spaces and a bus simulator training room.
