How to get to Kitsap farmers markets on transit
Fresh produce, homemade baked goods, pottery, syrups, fresh seafood, meats, gifts, art…it’s farmers market season!
When you take public transit to your local farmers market, not only are you supporting small independent producers, but you’re saving money on gas and reducing your impact on the environment!
Most of Kitsap County’s markets are accessible via Kitsap Transit buses – read on to see which routes serve which markets and plan your trip with KTTracker.com or another transit planning app.
Bainbridge Island Farmers Market
When: Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Town Square at City Hall
How: Route 390, BI Ride; Fast ferries and Washington State Ferries
Get off Route 390 at the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal and walk to the market. Route 390 connects to other routes at the North Viking Transit Center in Poulsbo.
Book an on-demand trip with BI Ride between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Saturdays.
If you prefer to travel by water, take the Bremerton or Southworth fast ferry to Seattle and transfer to Washington State Ferries’ Bainbridge Island route.
Bremerton Farmers Market
When: Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (opens May 7)
Where: Evergreen Rotary Park, 1400 Park Avenue, Bremerton
How: Routes 212, 217, 220, 221, 224, 225, 226, 228, 301
Get off Routes 212, 217 or 224 at 11th Street and Pacific (Stop 1219) and walk to the market.
East Bremerton riders can get off Routes 221 or 225 at Washington and 6th Street (Stop 75) and walk to the market or connect with other buses at the Bremerton Transportation Center.
West Bremerton riders can get off Route 226 at Pacific Street and 9th Street (Stop 459) and walk to the market.
Port Orchard Farmers Market
When: Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Port Orchard Waterfront
How: Port Orchard/Bremerton Ferry; Routes 104, 105, 108, 109; Route 186 (through September 26 only)
Get off Routes 104, 105, 108, 109, or 186 at the Port Orchard Ferry Terminal and walk to the market.
Riders traveling from Bremerton can take the Port Orchard/Bremerton foot ferry to Port Orchard and walk to the market. Multiple Kitsap Transit bus routes connect to the Bremerton Transportation Center with access to the foot ferry.
Note: Route 186 operates on Saturdays between May 2 and September 26, 2026.
Poulsbo Farmers Market
When: Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: 18901 8th Ave NE, Poulsbo
How: Routes 331, 332, 344, 390
Riders can take Route 344 to the market from the North Viking Transit Center (NVTC). Route 390 connects to Route 344 at NVTC and stops near the market (Highway 303 at Hostmark Street).
Routes 331 and 332 connect to NVTC from Silverdale.
Silverdale Farmers Market
When: Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Old Town Silverdale Waterfront
Get off Route 212 at Silverdale Way and Byron Street (Stop 535) and walk to the market.
Riders can connect to Route 212 from other routes at the Bremerton Transportation Center (BTC) or Silverdale Transit Center (STC).
