Kitsap Transit partners with Olympic College to offer students free bus pass for 2026-2027 school year
A Kitsap Transit bus passes by students as they attend a welcome event at Olympic College’s Bremerton campus.
Registration is open now for the free OC Bus Pass, a partnership between Kitsap Transit and Olympic College (OC) that will make getting to campus easier and more affordable for students and employees during the 2026-2027 school year!
The free bus pass is available to all OC students and employees starting Sept. 1, thanks to a $200,000 state grant. The pass will be valid through June 30, 2027, and can be used on Kitsap Transit buses and local foot ferries (excluding fast ferries).
You can pick up your free pass at several locations on campus starting Sept. 14. For more information, visit OC’s free bus pass webpage.
Added bus service for Olympic College Bremerton
Kitsap Transit is adding more frequent service to OC’s Bremerton campus, as well as support for South Kitsap students traveling to Bremerton, starting on Sept. 13.
Right now, OC Bremerton is served by Routes 212 and 224 from West Bremerton, and Routes 217 and 301 from East Bremerton. Starting Sept. 13, Route 215–McWilliams will also serve the Bremerton campus, while Route 219–Crossroads will serve two stops on Warren Avenue a short walk from campus.
In South Kitsap, we’re increasing the frequency of Route 108–Bethel to improve connections to the Port Orchard Ferry. Route 108 will depart the ferry dock every 15 minutes between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM on weekdays, making it easier for South Kitsap students to catch the ferry to Bremerton and connect with a bus to get to campus.
Starting Sept. 13, Kitsap Transit is also piloting a new SK Ride Express route, an offshoot of our on-demand SK Ride service. SK Ride Express buses will make timed stops at several locations in the McCormick Woods area of South Kitsap and connect directly to the ferry dock, with departures every 30 minutes. If you live in the SK Ride service area, you’ll need to connect with SK Ride Express to reach the Port Orchard Foot Ferry. Since it’s a new service, both SK Ride Express and SK Ride will be fare-free through the end of September.
