Kitsap Transit’s fall service change begins September 13

Starting Sept. 13, Kitsap Transit will make changes to Routes 105, 108, 109, 119, 184, 186, 215, 219, 224, 226, 331, 332, 385, 390, 393, 394 and SK Ride. Changes include timing adjustments, adding trips, changing route patterns and route names, and adding or removing stops.
As part of our fall service change, Kitsap Transit is adding Route 215–McWilliams service to Olympic College Bremerton and piloting a new SK Ride service with timed stops that connects directly to the Port Orchard Ferry Dock. Starting Sept. 13, the 5:02 AM Route 105–Sidney trip from the Port Orchard Ferry Dock will depart two minutes earlier at 5:00 AM.

Starting Sept. 13, Kitsap Transit is increasing the frequency of Route 108–Bethel to improve passenger connections to the Port Orchard Ferry.
Buses will depart the Port Orchard Ferry Dock every 15 minutes between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM on weekdays. Additionally, several timepoints outside the 8:30 AM–5:30 PM time range will shift by a few minutes.

Starting Sept. 13, two stops are being removed on Route 109–East Port Orchard.
The following stops will no longer be served:
Madrona Dr at Red Spruce (Stop 784)
Mitchell at Town Square (Stop 1377)
Passengers can use the following stops instead:
Madrona at Lodgepole (Stop 785)
Mitchell at Melcher (Stop 657)
Mile Hill at Wolves Road (Stop 976)
Mile Hill at Wolves Road (Stop 729)

Starting Sept. 13, one stop is being removed on Route 119–Madrona.
The following stop will no longer be served:

Starting Sept. 13, one AM trip will be added on Route 184–Harper Shuttle, departing the Southworth Ferry Terminal at 8:33 AM.

Starting Sept. 13, two trips are being added on Route 186–Southworth, departing the Port Orchard Ferry Dock at 11:30 AM and the Southworth Ferry Terminal at noon.

Starting Sept. 13, Route 215–McWilliams will serve Olympic College Bremerton.
Route 215 travels between the McWilliams Park & Ride and the Bremerton Transportation Center, with a timepoint at the Wheaton Way Transit Center. Several trips are being added on Route 215, and most current Route 215 timepoints are shifting by a few minutes as part of this change.

Starting Sept. 13, Route 219–Crossroads will serve two additional stops on Warren Ave near Olympic College Bremerton. Buses traveling outbound to the Crossroads Park & Ride will stop at Warren Ave and 14th Street, and buses inbound to the Bremerton Transportation Center will stop at Warren Ave and 14th Street.

Starting Sept. 13, the first Route 224–Olympic College trip will depart five minutes earlier at 4:45 AM instead of 4:50 AM.

Starting Sept. 13, the first Route 226–Bay Vista trip will depart five minutes earlier at 4:50 AM instead of 4:55 AM.

Starting Sept. 13, one Route 331–Poulsbo/Myhre stop is being added at Viking Ave and Stendahl Court.

Starting Sept. 13, one Route 332–Poulsbo/Ridgetop stop is being added at Viking Ave and Stendahl Court.

Route 385–BI Downtown (“Downtown Loop”) will continue operating through March 2027 as part of the pilot service funded by the City of Bainbridge Island.

Starting Sept. 13, one AM trip is being added on Route 390–Poulsbo/Bainbridge, departing the Bainbridge Island Transit Ferry Terminal at 5:10 AM.
Additionally, several Route 390 timepoints are shifting by a few minutes.

Starting Sept. 13, Route 393–Manzanita will be renamed Route 393–Manzanita/Bloedel.
Route 393 will now serve Bloedel Reserve on every trip. On weekdays, buses will depart Bloedel Reserve at 5:31 AM, 6:12 AM, and 7:02 AM, and at 4:17 PM, 5:07 PM, 6:04 PM, and 7:00 PM.

Starting Sept. 13, Route 394–Agate Point will be renamed Route 394–Ferncliff/Valley.
Additionally, Route 394 will no longer serve Bloedel Reserve or stops north of Day Road. Route 394 will start and end service at the Day Rd and Phelps Rd stop.

Starting Sept. 13, SK Ride will pilot a new express route with direct connections to the Port Orchard Ferry Dock. SK Ride Express will make timed stops between the McCormick Woods and McCormick Village areas and the Port Orchard Ferry Dock, with departures every 30 minutes, from 5:17 AM until 8:02 PM.
SK Ride Express trips cannot be booked with the Ride Pingo App and operate separately from SK Ride On-Demand. If you live more than ½ mile from an SK Ride Express stop, you can book an on-demand trip through SK Ride to connect to a stop in the on-demand service area. SK Ride does not directly serve the Port Orchard Ferry Dock.
SK Ride and SK Ride Express will be fare-free through the end of September.
