Kitsap Transit adds new route, park & ride serving West Bremerton
Buses park outside the West Bremerton Transit Center.
Starting the week of Dec. 7, Kitsap Transit is opening a new park & ride in West Bremerton, along with a new route that connects directly to several shipyard gates and the Bremerton Transportation Center.
Route 238–West Bremerton Express will operate three trips in the morning and three in the afternoon between the West Bremerton Transit Center and the Bremerton Transportation Center, with one scheduled stop at Burwell Street and Naval Avenue. Buses can pick up and drop off passengers at stops near the State Avenue and Park Avenue shipyard gates and the Pacific Avenue gate in front of the Naval History Museum.
In addition to making stops at shipyard gates, Route 238 is designed to connect with the 5:25 AM, 6:45 AM, and 7:25 AM Bremerton Fast Ferry sailings.
Passengers can park in one of two Kitsap Transit lots (see map) next to the West Bremerton Transit Center to catch the new Route 238 or any of the existing routes that connect there — Routes 212, 220, 224, 226 and 228.
