Winter service change begins December 7
Kitsap Transit’s winter service change begins on Sunday, December 7.
We will make changes to Routes 93, 105, 184, 185, 186, 212, 215, 217, 331, 332, 333, and 390. Changes include new trips, adjustments to timepoints to improve connections, and adding or removing stops. Additionally, Kitsap Transit will no longer operate alternate routes on Bainbridge Island when Washington State Ferries’ sailings are running late.
Starting Dec. 7, Kitsap Transit will operate a new route, Route 238–West Bremerton Express. The route will travel from the new West Bremerton Park & Ride to the Bremerton Transportation Center.

Starting on Sunday, Dec. 7, Kitsap Transit will no longer operate alternate routes on Bainbridge Island when Washington State Ferries’ sailings are running late. This alternate service only operated if WSF arrived more than 10 minutes after our routed bus's scheduled departure time.
Starting Dec. 7, if WSF ferries are running more than 10 minutes late:
Routes 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, and 106 will wait for passengers disembarking and will provide ferry take-home service.
Passengers traveling to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal should call Kitsap Transit’s Customer Service to request a ride. Pickups are not guaranteed and are subject to driver and vehicle availability.

Starting Dec. 7, several AM timepoints on Route 93–Manzanita are being adjusted by a few minutes to improve ferry connections.
The 4:45 AM Komedal & Seabold timepoint will now depart at 4:47 AM.
The 7:53 AM trip departing Bloedel Reserve will now depart five minutes later at 7:58 AM.

Starting Sunday, Dec. 7, one stop will be moved on Route 105–Sidney:
The Northbound Hovde Road stop is moving in front of the Haven Apartments, approximately 175 feet south of the existing stop.

Starting Dec. 7, Kitsap Transit will create a new route serving west Bremerton and downtown.
Route 238–West Bremerton Express will operate three trips in the morning and three trips in the afternoon between the West Bremerton Transit Center and the Bremerton Transportation Center, with one scheduled stop at Burwell Street and Naval Avenue. Buses can pick up and drop off passengers at stops near the State Avenue and Park Avenue gates and the Pacific Avenue gate in front of the Naval History Museum.
Additionally, Kitsap Transit is opening a new park & ride at the West Bremerton Transit Center (WBTC). The new park & ride will be located in the lots to the north and west of the WBTC. It will feature approximately 115 parking stalls, cameras, lighting and will be monitored like Kitsap Transit’s other park & rides.
Routes 212, 220, 224, 226, and 228 also serve the WBTC.
