Kitsap Transit’s summer service change begins June 7
A bus travels Washington Avenue in downtown Bremerton.
Starting June 7, Kitsap Transit will make changes to Routes 222 and 238 and add a new pilot route, Route 385–BI Downtown. Changes include adjustments to route patterns and adding stops.
Additionally, Kitsap Transit will add extended bus and ferry service on FIFA World Cup game days in June and July. Game days are scheduled for June 15, 19, 24, 26, and July 1 and 6. For details about World Cup extended service, visit kitsaptransit.com/sea26.

Route 222–Gateway will serve the 6th at Park stop (Stop 396) on trips to the Gateway Park & Ride, and the Burwell at Park stop (Stop 393) on trips to the Bremerton Transportation Center.

Route 238–West Bremerton Express will change its route pattern on trips to the West Bremerton Transit Center. Instead of turning right onto Montgomery Avenue at Sixth Street, buses will turn left onto Callow Avenue at Burwell Street, then travel First Street and Wycoff Avenue back to their regular route.

Starting June 13, Kitsap Transit will pilot a new shuttle service in downtown Bainbridge Island. Route 385–BI Downtown will operate from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays only through Sept. 12, except on July 4. The shuttle is fare-free.
The route will operate a loop starting and ending at the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal, serving Winslow Way, Madison Avenue, High School Road, and Ferncliff Avenue with flag stops along Ferncliff Avenue and High School Rd. The bus will alternate its direction of travel each trip.
