Olympic College to pilot free Kitsap Transit bus pass for students

All Olympic College students will be able to ride Kitsap Transit buses and local ferries with a free bus pass during the 2026-27 academic year thanks to a $200,000 grant from the state. The pass will be valid starting on Sept. 1.

City of Bainbridge Island and Kitsap Transit launch free summer shuttle in downtown Winslow

Kitsap Transit’s new Route 385 loop serves many popular downtown Winslow locations on Saturdays, including the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.

Kitsap Transit’s new Bainbridge Island shuttle route operated its first day of service on Saturday, June 13. The new route, called the Downtown Loop, is being funded by the City of Bainbridge Island and will operate on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM through Sept. 12 (except for July 4).


ORCA launches a limited-time promotional 3-Day pass

On June 1, ORCA launched a new 3-day pass, which allows adult riders to travel on public transit around the region for an $18 flat rate, or $6 for Reduced Fare riders. The 3-day pass is valid on Kitsap Transit buses, local foot ferries and on-demand bus services, but not fast ferries.


Kitsap Transit’s summer service change started June 7

Starting June 7, Kitsap Transit made changes to Routes 222 and 238 and launched a new pilot route on Bainbridge Island.
