Kitsap Transit’s spring service change begins March 15

Kitsap Transit’s spring service change begins on Sunday, March 15.

We’re making changes to Routes 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 106, 108, 185, 186, 212, 217, 266, 390 and 391. Changes include new trips, adjustments to timepoints to improve connections, and adding or removing stops.

Starting March 15, Kitsap Transit is changing all Bainbridge Island route numbers to three digits. Timepoints on all Bainbridge Island routes will be adjusted by several minutes as part of this change.

  • One PM trip will be added on Route 108–Bethel, departing the Port Orchard Ferry Dock at 8:30 PM.

  • The last Route 185–Mullenix trip from the Southworth Ferry Terminal will depart at 7:41 PM instead of 7:48 PM. The bus will wait for the Fast Ferry to arrive before departing.

  • The 6:05 PM Route 186–Southworth trip from the Port Orchard Ferry Dock will depart five minutes earlier at 6:00 PM.

  • Starting March 15, the 5:20 AM trip from the Bremerton Transportation Center will depart five minutes earlier at 5:15 AM.

    The 8:10 PM trip from the Silverdale Transit Center will depart 10 minutes earlier at 8:00 PM.

  • Starting March 15, the 8:15 PM and 8:35 PM trips from the Silverdale Transit Center will depart at 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM, respectively.

  • Starting March 15, both inbound and outbound Ridgetop at Blaine timepoints will no longer appear on Kitsap Transit schedules. The stop will be renamed Ridgetop at Levin and will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

  • Most timepoints from the North Viking Transit Center are shifting by a few minutes.

  • Several timepoints on Route 391–Kingston/Bainbridge are shifting by a few minutes.

  • Route 93–Manzanita will be renumbered to Route 393. Most AM timepoints on Route 393 are being adjusted, and the Manzanita and Day Road timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules. This stop will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

    Riders who subscribe to Route 93 rider alerts should update their subscription to Route 393 after March 15 to continue receiving alerts.

  • Route 94–Agate Point will be renumbered to Route 394. Most AM timepoints on Route 394 are being adjusted.

  • Route 95–Battle Point will be renumbered to Route 395. Most AM timepoints on Route 395 are being adjusted.

    Additionally, the Miller and New Brooklyn timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules, and the stop will be moved north of New Brooklyn Road.

    Riders who subscribe to Route 95 rider alerts should update their subscription to Route 395 after March 15 to continue receiving alerts.

  • Route 96–Sunrise will be renumbered to Route 396. Most AM timepoints on Route 396 are being adjusted, and the Sunrise and Valley timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules. This stop will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

    Riders who subscribe to Route 96 rider alerts should update their subscription to Route 396 after March 15 to continue receiving alerts.

  • Route 97–Crystal Springs will be renumbered to Route 397. Most AM timepoints on Route 397 are being adjusted, and the Blakely and Bucklin timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules. This stop will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

    Riders who subscribe to Route 97 rider alerts should update their subscription to Route 397 after March 15 to continue receiving alerts.

  • Route 98–Fort Ward will be renumbered to Route 398. Most timepoints on Route 398 are being adjusted, and the Bucklin at Blakely timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules. This stop will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

    Additionally, Route 398 will travel the Fort Ward loop in the alternate direction. Passengers should board the bus at Evergreen Ave and Fort Ward Hill Road. 

    Riders who subscribe to Route 98 rider alerts should update their subscription to Route 398 after March 15 to continue receiving alerts.

  • Route 99–Bill Point will be renumbered to Route 399. Most AM timepoints on Route 399 are being adjusted, and the Old Creosote at Bill Point timepoint will no longer appear in Kitsap Transit schedules. This stop will still be served by Kitsap Transit buses.

    Additionally, Route 399 will travel the Fort Ward loop in the alternate direction. Passengers in the Fort Ward area should board the bus at Evergreen Ave and Fort Ward Hill Road.
