Kitsap Transit will operate extra ferry service for the Seahawks Super Bowl parade

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks on their Super Bowl LX victory!

Kitsap Transit, along with our partner transit agencies across the region, is planning extra fast-ferry service to ensure fans can get to and from the championship parade.

On the Bremerton/Seattle route, Kitsap Transit plans to use all three of its 118-passenger vessels to offer additional fast-ferry trips. The third boat will operate one-way trips only to Seattle in the morning and one-way trips only to Bremerton in the afternoon. In the event of any mechanical issues with any of the vessels, Kitsap Transit will prioritize maintaining its regular two-boat schedule.

On the Kingston/Seattle route, Kitsap Transit will operate MV Finest with additional crew to open up its upper-level deck and allow loads up to 324 passengers per trip. On the Southworth/Seattle route, Kitsap Transit will operate a 250-passenger boat.

The City of Seattle estimates nearly a million people may be downtown for the festivities. With thousands of Kitsap residents expected to board ferries to Seattle on Wednesday, Kitsap Transit anticipates full loads – riders should plan to arrive early to get in line.

  • No line holding will be permitted – all members of a group must be present to receive a queue number for a sailing.

  • To expedite boarding, fast-ferry riders should be prepared to pay their fare quickly with Transit GO Ticket app, ORCA, or a paper ticket. Riders paying cash must have exact fare (see fares) – Kitsap Transit staff do not have change.

  • With limited boat capacity, commuters are encouraged to telework on Wednesday if they can.

  • Those riders who have large strollers or other equipment may be denied boarding if there isn’t sufficient space on the fast ferry.

  • Kitsap Transit recommends using one of our park & rides and transit to get to the ferry terminal. You can find a list of park & rides below.
